For online orders we can accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Personal Checks and Money Orders. With personal check and money order transactions, we will hold your online order until payment has been received at our offices. In order for us to deliver your merchandise in the fastest way possible we ask that you please be sure to fill out all of the information accurately and completely. Once you have submitted your online order you will be notified immediately that it has securely reached our office and will be processed and shipped within 24 hours. In regards to internet transaction security, we are a certified secure site, and have what is known in the industry as SSL (secure socket layer) technology. Our encryption works on a 128-bit system, which is the highest form of security available and is completely verified through GeoTrust. We have purchased this premium security package to insure that Mountain Rose Herbs customers are given the highest level of security offered on the market today. Our systems encrypt information within an internet connection through complex mathematics and code and only Mountain Rose Herbs has the tools necessary to open the encryption.

If you prefer to order by mail you can write the items you wish to purchase on a separate piece of paper or our convenient Order Form (PDF File) Please include your name, shipping address and telephone number, along with what you wish to order. For mail orders we accept personal checks, money orders, Visa, MasterCard and Discover. Please allow up to 8 days for first class mail to reach our offices. For easy and convenient mail orders, please use our printable form available through the link below. You may also shop online and select an option at the end titled "Check/Money Order". We will hold this type of online order until your payment has reached our offices. Ordering By Telephone
For phone orders, please have your complete order ready, along with your credit card information. Customer service is available for phone orders toll free at (800) 879-3337 from 9AM to 5PM Pacific Time. After these hours you may leave your order on our voice mail systems for next day processing.

Ordering By Fax
For fax orders please write your order information on a separate piece of paper including your address, telephone number, credit card information, and signature. Cutoff Times
All standard ground orders must be received by 3 PM to qualify for 24 hour shipping. For more information surrounding 24 hour shipping, including limitations, please see
24 Hour Guarantee
If you have selected UPS 2nd Day and 3 Day Select services, orders must be received by 2 PM Monday-Friday Pacific Time to qualify for same day shipping, and UPS Next Day orders must be received by 12 PM Pacific Time to qualify for same day shipping.
If you request regular UPS or FedEx ground services for your order, but wish to have it expedited and shipped the same day, we will "rush" your order by having it sent out the same day it was received. This service costs $5.00 and your order must be received by 2 PM Monday-Friday Pacific Time.

Unfortunately Mountain Rose Herbs no longer offers special ordering services. However we are open and receptive to new product ideas and we would love to discuss the possibility of increasing our existing product line. Sample Requests
In order to maintain low minimums and reduced prices for all our customers, we do not honor free sample requests to the general public.
If you would like a sample for review before purchasing, we charge a nominal $5.00 fee for the sample which is refundable on your next order which is made within 30 days.
Free samples are always available for licensed companies with an established net terms account with Mountain Rose Herbs and may be requested at any time.
Student Discounts
Students actively enrolled in one of the courses listed on our herbal educators page are entitled to a 10% discount. Upon checking out you will find a comments box. Simply type in the course you are enrolled in and we will take care of the rest. We will deduct 10% off your total order here at our offices and it will be reflected upon your invoice, which is included with every order. This discount may be applied as many times as you wish, just as long as you are an active student with the listed schools.

Infestation Policy
As with all natural materials and food items; herbs, spices and botanicals can be subject to insect infestation.
Mountain Rose Herbs implements several control methods to guarantee that every botanical item shipped from our warehouse is completely free of live insects and parasitic activity.
Control methods for our facilities includes treating the facilities with Pyrethrum (natural botanical powder), Pheromone traps, Diatomaceous treatments, electronic and sonic repellers, temperature controlled storage facilities, flash freezing all suspected farm harvested material immediately upon receipt, and the implementation of good hygiene practices.
While we take arduous steps in guaranteeing the absolute cleanliness of our herbs and spices, this does not mean that the materials you purchased from Mountain Rose Herbs will stay pest free during the tenure of your ownership.
Please observe good storage guidelines, and if minor insect infestation is found, freeze immediately at a temperature of 10-30 degrees.
Mountain Rose Herbs will offer a full and immediate refund for any items which are found to contain pests within a 60 day period. Any items infested after this period of time will become the sole responsibility of the purchaser. Refunds are only available for the dollar value of the merchandise and we will not be liable for any other expenses incurred as a result of infestation.
Certification and Documentation Requests
Upon your request, we will gladly provide copies of our organic certificate, kosher certificate, certificates of analysis, pesticide residue tests, GCMS printouts and MSDS forms. These documents are only available via fax, email, or they may be included with your order. We are unable to send out certificates through the Postal Service.
Wholesale
Offering affordable and realistic prices to everyone is extraordinarily important to us and therefore we do not offer separate prices for wholesale. We do offer substantial discounts of up to 40% off when you buy our bulk herbs, spices and teas, and all of the packaged products from either Mountain Rose Herbs or other manufacturers which are purchased in quantities of 12 or more of the same item qualify for a 20% discount. These discounted prices are very competitive with wholesale, and we encourage you to check out these great deals. All of the discounts are listed on their respective pages. Terms
Net Terms are available only for established and verified companies. A full and complete credit application must be filled out and submitted to Mountain Rose Herbs. Add-ons and Adjustments
Because we process and ship your order within moments of receiving it, we are unable to accept adjustments or additions for your order. While we apologize for this inconvenience, we have found this policy to be helpful in further guaranteeing 24 hour shipping to all of our customers.
Cancellations
Because we process and ship your order within moments of receiving it, we can only accept order cancellations by 3 PM Pacific Time, and all requests for order cancellations received after this time will not be accepted. If you are unable to submit your order cancellation by the 3 PM deadline you may return the parcel after its receipt for a full and immediate refund or credit.
Discrepancies, Shortages and Returns
If your order is received with any notable shortcomings, please contact customer service immediately.
All discrepancies, shortages, broken merchandise and any requests for returns must be made within 60 days of the issued invoice date. Any requests for compensation or remediation will not be accepted after 60 days of the invoice date.

When sending us returns, we would appreciate it if you could provide a short explanation (although not necessary) for the reason of return. This helps us to better understand our customers needs and assists in the development of better products. When returning items please let us know if you want a credit card refund or a Mountain Rose Herbs store credit.
Please Note!
We are unable to accept returns for international orders and there are no returns on materials that have been mixed or blended together with other ingredients. This contaminates the raw product and we are unable to use it appropriately. All essential oils which you had ordered in 4 ounce or larger sizes, require calling customer service at

All shipping charges incurred for returning merchandise to Mountain Rose Herbs is the sole responsibility of the customer, unless it is the result of our error.

Out Of Stock Items
Occasionally we run out of stock of particular items rather unexpectedly and we issue a "Temporarily Out Of Stock" notice on your invoice. While we may have the item in stock at the time that you placed your order, by the time it gets sent for final processing we have realized an unexpected stock deficiency.
This is due in part to a surge in orders for a particular item which reached our warehouse before your order did and this created a zero inventory for the item you wanted. While we apologize for any inconvenience surrounding out of stock items, we are sometimes obliged to issue such statements on your invoice. If you notice that an item is posted as out of stock on our website, you may simply click the notify me button, and from here you may enter your e-mail address and name. Once the product is available again, we will notify you immediately.
Please Note: In the event that you receive an "Out Of Stock" notice on your invoice, we simply ask that you reorder at a later date, usually within 1-2 weeks.
Backorders
Occasionally we run short of stock on particular items and issue a "Backorder" on your invoice.
This occurs when you were charged and invoiced for a particular product by our customer service representatives, but by the time it enters the warehouse for fulfillment we find that the item is temporarily unavailable.
In this instance we will issue a small backorder notice that clearly explains your item will ship once our stock replenishes. Fulfilling backorders generally takes 1-2 weeks.
Packaging
All herbs and spices that you may order are packaged at our discretion, usually in bulk packaging and not single unit packaging. If your order is under 5 pounds you may request individual packaging at no cost to you, but we ask that you request this. All orders at 5 pounds or more will be automatically packaged in bulk single unit bags. If you wish to have your bulk orders which exceed 5 pounds packaged into either smaller or individual units, a surcharge of 0.50 per unit will be applied. We have this policy for two reasons. The first is to limit the amount of waste and plastics which will enter the commerce stream and the second is that excessive packaging only results in extra costs. These costs are usually passed onto the customer in the form of higher priced goods and we will do everything we can to prevent this.
Heavy Items and Actual Shipping Charges
Heavy items which include 1 and 5 gallon sizes, case quantities of containers, and 5 or more whole pounds of bulk herbs, spices, teas, clays, butters, and wax will be charged shipping based on published UPS and/or FedEx charges. You can place your online order and upon receipt we will e mail you the details of these shipping charges.
Shipping
All domestic orders within the contiguous United States are processed and shipped within 24 hours and you can usually expect delivery within 2-8 business days after placing your order. For more information on our 24-hour shipping policy along with restrictions, please see our 24 Hour Guarantee
Our preferred carriers are UPS, FedEx, US Priority Mail, and if your order exceeds 200 pounds we may opt for USF Reddaway Truck Lines.
You may select which shipping option and method you prefer upon checkout or with a customer service representative. If you wish to have an order shipped to a PO box you must select US Priority Mail, as UPS or Fedex do not service to PO boxes.
We also offer 2 Day, and 3 Day UPS services when ordering online, and Next Day UPS by calling customer service at (800) 879-3337 before 12 PM.
All 2 Day Air and 3 Day Select shipments through UPS need to be received by 12 PM for same day shipment. All orders requesting this service received after 12 PM will be shipped the following day. REMEMBER! Next Day, 2 Day and 3 Day UPS shipments represent the actual time in transit on business days only. Please allow one additional day for processing, packing and shipping, excluding weekends. Therefore if you place an order on Monday and select 2 Day Air shipping you will not receive your parcel until Wednesday.
For Alaska, HI, PR, US territories and all APO, FPO and US Territories, we ship via USPS Priority Mail and these orders are processed and shipped every 48-72 hours. This option is available upon checkout when ordering online.

Shipping Charges
For online orders we charge actual shipping based on UPS, FedEx, and USPS rates which are displayed in your cart and during checkout. These charges are calculated and automated within our shopping cart system and all charges are clearly visible during the check out process. If you wish to use your own UPS or FedEx account number, please provide this to us and we will ship your order on your own account and no shipping charges shall apply.
For our mail order customers we charge shipping based on a subtotal rate table which is on the order form.
