This biennial produces beautiful purple-pink inflorescences that produce a euphoric scent. Sow seeds in the spring in pots or directly in the garden. Barely cover the seed with soil, tamp firmly, and keep moist until germination, which can take a week or two. Thin or transplant to three feet apart. The plant will flower in its second year with multiple upright stalks up to five feet tall.
