Note Classification

Bright, sweet, and herbaceous with a heavy green middle, and slight bitterness. Notes of sage, rosemary, and mint.

Armoise essential oil is steam-distilled from Artemisia herba-alba, and is sometimes known as white wormwood, armoise blanche, or desert wormwood. A silvery-grey and supremely aromatic shrub, armoise flourishes in the dry, harsh conditions of the Moroccan desert. This intriguing essential oil is supportive in emotionally taxing situations, and only a small amount is required in formulations to imbue the lovely scent.

1/2 oz., 1 oz., and 2 oz. essential oils are packaged in amber glass bottles with drop reducers for easy application. Larger sizes are packaged in amber screw cap bottles and do not come with reducers or droppers.

Label Updates

We are currently transitioning to a smudge proof label for our essential oils. If ordering more than one oil you may receive both types of labels as we make this transition. Our new labels are a poly-base and printed in full color in-house.

Blends Well With

Cedarwood, davana, juniper berry, lavender, patchouli, rosemary, sage, mints such as peppermint or spearmint, and other herbaceous oils. We recommend using this essential oil at no more than a 0.25% dilution in blends for topical use, as it is quite strong due to the 25-35% thujone content.

This oil is expected to be neurotoxic based on camphor and thujone content. Avoid while pregnant. Never use essential oils undiluted, in eyes or mucus membranes. Do not take internally unless working with a qualified and expert practitioner. Keep away from children.

Before using topically, perform a small patch test on your inner forearm or back by applying a small quantity of diluted essential oil and apply a bandage. Wash the area if you experience any irritation. If no irritation occurs after 48 hours it is safe to use on your skin.
