Shipping Cut-Off Times
We anticipate your order will be processed and shipped from our facility within a couple of business days. Major holidays may delay us a little.*
If you have selected UPS Next Day, 2nd Day or 3 Day Select services, orders must be received by 10:30 am Pacific Time Monday through Friday in order to be shipped the same business day.
If you would like to ship your expedited order via FedEx, and you have your own FedEx shipping account, the order must be submitted with your FedEx account information by 9:00 am Pacific Time to be shipped the same business day. If you are placing the order over the phone, please call us the business day prior to shipping.
Our preferred carriers are UPS and USPS Priority Mail, and if your order exceeds 200 pounds we may opt for USF Reddaway Truck Lines.
You may select which shipping option and method you prefer upon checkout or with a customer service representative. If you wish to have an order shipped to a PO box, you must select USPS Priority Mail, as Ground (UPS/FedEx) shipping does not deliver to PO boxes.
For Alaska, HI, PR, US protectorates and territories, and all APO and FPO addresses we ship via USPS Priority Mail and these orders are processed and shipped every 48-72 hours. This option is available upon checkout when ordering online.
*Exclusions to this timeframe include Canadian orders, orders placed on Friday through Sunday, orders for Puerto Rico and APO addresses, large bulk orders, and orders placed prior to and during major US holidays. Please see our Shipping Chart for ship time estimates.
Expedited Shipping Information
If you have selected Expedited shipping services, orders must be received by 10:30 am Pacific Time Monday through Friday in order to be shipped within the expected time frame.
If you would like to ship your expedited order via FedEx, and you have your own FedEx shipping account, the order must be submitted with your FedEx account information by 9:00 am Pacific Time in order to be shipped the same business day. If you are placing the order over the phone, please call us the business day prior to shipping.
Next Day, 2 Day and 3 Day UPS shipments represent the actual time in transit on business days only. Please allow one additional day for processing, packing and shipping, excluding weekends. Therefore, if you place an order on Monday and select 2 Day Air shipping you will not receive your parcel until Wednesday.
Saturday delivery – some UPS carriers offer Saturday delivery for a $15.00 fee in addition to your expedited shipping rate. Please call your local UPS store to see if Saturday delivery is an option in your area before placing your orders. Requests for Saturday delivery must be made by calling our customer service line, as we are unable to process these requests online.

*Delivery time is calculated according to actual "business days" and does not include weekends or holidays. These delivery times are estimated by the carrier and are not guaranteed, unless an expedited shipping method is selected. These delivery times do not include the time taken to process and fulfill your order at our facilities, and this should only be used as a transit average. All domestic orders within the United States typically take 2-8 days to arrive to you after your order is placed at Mountain Rose Herbs.
For online and phone orders we charge actual shipping based on UPS, FedEx, and USPS rates which are displayed in your cart and during checkout. These charges are calculated and automated within our shopping cart system and all charges are clearly visible during the checkout process. If you wish to use your own UPS or FedEx account number, please provide this to us in the Special Instructions field and we will ship your order on your own account and no shipping charges shall apply.
For our mail order customers we charge shipping based on a subtotal rate table which is on the order form, but please note that heavy items, which include 1 and 5 gallon sizes, case quantities of containers, and 5 or more whole pounds of bulk herbs, spices, teas, clays, butters, and wax will be charged shipping based on published UPS and/or FedEx charges. The catalog shipping prices are estimates only, so please call ahead for accurate shipping charges, or you may be contacted for additional payment for shipping costs.
Hazardous Materials and Shipping Restrictions
Due to increased restrictions by the Federal Aviation Association (FAA) we are not able to ship some liquids classified as flammable or combustible because of low flash points through USPS Priority mail. These products include selected Essential oils, Extracts, Bitters, Elixirs, Tonics and Syrups.
However, we are able to send these Mountain Rose Herbs products through UPS Ground and UPS Expedite Air Service! When placing these items in your shopping cart, you may notice that your shipping options become restricted to UPS Ground. These products will be noted in the shopping cart with a shipping restriction notification. Once the noted items are removed from your order, you will be able to check out with any products that do not fall under this regulation.
Please be aware, if the items in your shopping cart cause the shipping option to default to UPS Ground, we are not able to ship your package to you if the package is intended to ship to Canada, APO/FPO, Hawaii, Guam, Puerto Rico, Alaska, or a PO Box address. If we receive an order going to any of these locations with UPS Ground selected, we will process the order without the restricted items or we may contact you for an alternative shipping address.
Expedited shipping orders will include a natural material called Ezee-Dri. This product is included with all oil or alcohol products to ensure that if a package becomes damaged in transit the liquid will be absorbed. If at any time you would like a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for this material please contact us at customer service. We are open from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Pacific Time Monday through Friday; we can be reached by phone at (800) 879-3337 or by email. Ezee-Dri is a highly absorbent material that is made out of wood fiber byproducts. No new wood is used in its production. This biodegradable material is silica and asbestos free, and may be composted or incinerated for easy disposal.
Canadian Restrictions: Products with restricted shipping to Canada include the majority of our Essential oils line, and all Extracts, Bitters, Elixirs, Tonics and Syrups. Sorry, but we are unable to ship these products to Canada at this time, and we apologize for the inconvenience.
